Schedule a broadcast and use phased (warm) sending
Pick a day and time for a broadcast, and send it in waves so your most engaged contacts get it first and your sender reputation stays healthy.
On this page
To schedule a broadcast, choose At a set time under When it goes and pick a Day and time. To protect your sender reputation, choose In waves, most engaged first under How fast: Meisa sends to your best openers first and spreads the rest over up to 24 hours.
Schedule a broadcast
- Open a draft from Broadcasts, or click New broadcast.
- Fill in Who gets it and What they get. See Send your first broadcast.
- Under When it goes, choose At a set time.
- Pick the Day and time. It uses the time zone shown under the picker (“Your time zone: …”).
- Click Review and schedule, check the summary and click Schedule for the date shown.
The broadcast now shows as Scheduled in the list.
Change or cancel a scheduled broadcast
- Open the broadcast from Broadcasts (filter by Scheduled to find it).
- Click Unschedule and confirm. It becomes a draft again.
- Make your changes, then schedule it again.
Send in waves (warm sending)
Sending a big list all at once is the fastest way to hit spam folders, especially from a newer domain. Waves fix that: mailbox providers first see opens and clicks from people who like your email, then the rest follows.
- Under How fast, choose In waves, most engaged first.
- Set Hours between waves (1 to 24, default 8).
- Read the plan that appears once the draft is saved, for example “4,820 people in 3 waves, most engaged first”, with each wave’s size and start time. Wave 1 is marked “(your best openers)”.
How Meisa plans the waves:
| Audience size | Number of waves |
|---|---|
| Under 1,000 | 2 |
| 1,000 to 4,999 | 3 |
| 5,000 to 19,999 | 5 |
| 20,000 or more | 7 |
- People are ranked by real (human) opens over the last 90 days. Machine opens from security scanners do not count.
- The whole send always finishes within 24 hours. If your gap is too long to fit, Meisa shortens it automatically.
- Waves work for both Right away and At a set time.
Choose All at once for small, warm lists or time-critical messages where every minute matters.
Pause or stop a send in progress
While a broadcast is sending (in waves or not), open it to see progress. Use Pause sending to hold the remaining emails, Resume sending to continue, or Cancel the rest to stop for good. People who already got it are not affected.
Troubleshooting
- The wave plan does not show: it appears once the draft is saved. Wait for the save, or check that Who gets it matches at least one person.
- “Repeating broadcasts don’t send.” Click Duplicate as a one-time broadcast and schedule the copy.
- It went out at the wrong hour: check the time zone shown under Day and time.
